Five Offbeat Monsoon Destinations in West Bengal for Romantic Travelers

The monsoon season transforms West Bengal into a lush, vibrant paradise, with its rolling hills, dense forests, deep sea and shimmering lakes coming alive under the gentle drizzle. While many head to the more famous hill stations or coastal towns, West Bengal offers several destinations that are perfect for couples looking to enjoy a romantic getaway in the rain. From serene lakes to misty mountains, here are five monsoon destinations in the state that are ideal for romantic travelers.

Bakkhali – A Tranquil Coastal Retreat

Bakkhali, a secluded coastal village located about 130 kilometers from Kolkata, is an ideal destination for couples looking to enjoy the sea in solitude. The surrounding mangroves, peaceful waters, and absence of large crowds offer a perfect setting for long romantic walks on the beach, watching the waves roll in as the raindrops hit the shore. Couples can also explore nearby attractions like Henry’s Island and the Jambudwip island, adding a sense of adventure to their romantic getaway.
