Don’ts and Do’s while travelling [Protocol for covid]

Wear a mask that covers your face and nose properly and sanitize or wash your hands after and before you touch a surface. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. Avoid close contact by staying at least 6 feet apart from anyone who does not belong to your household.

As the festive season is around the corner, most of you are planning to travel. Know the do’s and dont’s while travelling amid Covid. We know the risk will never be zero, still we have to be more and more careful. Follow SOP published by India Tourism Guideline.

First of all is Why? Is travelling necessary that much? If yes then collect all information of the desired destination. Take the help of your travel consultant and plan with much research work. Make it smart.

Where? Check the status of Covid before travel. Check whether the destination declared as contamination zone or not. Go through state health websites and check the details like entry requirements and restrictions for arriving travellers … testing or quarantine. Use the experience of your tour agent.

Who is your companion? Please keep in mind, children, senior and sick people have more chances of getting infected. Please don’t travel if you are sick. Also don’t travel with someone who is sick.

Wear a mask that covers your face and nose properly and sanitize or wash your hands after and before you touch a surface. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. Wear it while passing areas with high community transmission. Use it while travelling on a plane, train, bus, in the waiting lounges, everywhere. Protect your eyes. It’s better to be overprotected than under protected.

Avoid close contact by staying at least 6 feet apart from anyone who does not belong to your household. Physical distancing, hand hygiene and respiratory hygiene are the most important and effective things we can all do to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Keep a sanitizer or a hand wash along with you to avoid getting contaminated with Covid-19. Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds after using the bathroom and after you have visited a public place. If soap and water are not available, use a hand sanitizer (with at least 60% alcohol) instead. Rub your hands to make enough lather and then wash them off with water.

As of now, the best and safest option is to bring your own food from home. If you cannot get your own food, then take all the necessary precautions before buying or eating food at a public place.

For adventure lovers / campers, Gear are vary important. Try to use taller tents. Good quality sleeping bags. Plan for simple foods, essential items, med box. Pack light.

Plan is the most important than execution. Discuss, homework hard and keep alternatives. Observe the local eye and always ready for the Plan B.

Wish you a safe journey.
